LEAD DESIGNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR FOR
HONEY AND HIVE EXTRAORDINARY EVENTS AND DESIGN
Celebrity event designer, Scot Wedgeworth, (aka Mr. Fabulous), is a well-known wedding and event designer from the “deep and dirty” South. A native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, his over-the-top rock-and-roll style, outrageous personality, along with his edgy flair for design sets him apart from the typical event designer and has given him a successful 31-year career in the floral, event and entertainment industry.
When just 19 years old, and against the good intentions of his parents, Scot dropped out of college as a pre-Med student with honors, intending on being an ER doctor, to follow his dream of designing and creating events–-a job he believes he was born and destined to do. He never looked back.
In the beginning, Scot became widely known for his success as an award-winning floral designer which quickly led to complete wedding and event design. Wedgeworth has become one of the most innovative and acclaimed wedding and event designers in the nation and has quickly risen to the forefront of floral and event design to become known as an inspiring industry trendsetter. Wedgeworth is known for creating events from the ground up addressing every detail including menu design and food presentation, cake design, flowers and décor, linens, drapery and lighting.
Scot has designed and created events for many government dignitaries and celebrities including former President George Bush, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Whoopi Goldberg, Tyler Perry, Dean Cain, Sela Ward, Miley Cyrus, Shania Twain, Reba McEntire, Paula Deen, musical groups Widespread Panic, KISS and many more. Wedgeworth’s work has been featured on multiple television programs and design shows and has been published in multiple books and magazines. In 2012, Wedgeworth starred in his own reality television series Bama Glama on Food Network which followed his everyday life and was based on the crazy aspects and antics of his life and career as a successful wedding and event designer in the Deep South and how Wedgeworth takes the unexpected and unplanned problems being thrown his way and is able to turn them into successful and unforgettable events.
Wedgeworth has also been a lead floral designer for the past 12 years for the annual Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California winning countless trophies for his design. At the 2024 Rose Parade, Scot and his design team won the coveted Sweepstakes Trophy—the top prize for float design in the parade. In addition, Wedgeworth was able to fulfill his longtime dream of being the lead designer on the team float for his hometown football team, the Alabama Crimson Tide.
